Reaper Madness
Reaper Madness is a game I made that is based on my buddy Joe, AKA Reaper. He livestreams on TikTok/Twitch and puts an insane level of time, effort and money into making his stream a fun hangout for everyone and it was him that inspired me to level up what my own livestream was. That is why I chose to use some of my own time and effort to make something for him!
The story of the game is based around my wife and I’s stream mascot, Cheshy, portaling into Reaper’s stream and stealing his SNES. Reaper follows him through the portal in an effort to get it back and is taken through 3 levels and a boss fight, with each level being based on/inspired by some 16bit classics such as Super Mario World, Batman Returns, Super Star Wars and WWF Wrestlemania!
Every level features elements of The WatchReaper Show that both casual and hardcore viewers will (hopefully) notice but the game is still fun even if you don’t know who anyone is! 🤣😂
And if you don’t already know of The WatchReaper Show on TikTok/Twitch, you should go check it out at @watchreaper on Twitch and TikTok! On like clockwork beginning at 8am EST Monday through Friday with evening streams every Tuesday and Thursday at 8pmEST!
If you want to check mine out as well, I’m @UpscaledEnemy on TikTok, Twitch, YouTube and Kick!
The game is receiving one set of planned (or kinda unplanned but now happening) DLC called ‘Reapers Hectic Holidays’ where Cheshy returns to wreak havoc and drag Reaper through holiday themed levels, the first of which being Halloween!
The latest update now includes the Hectic Holidays menu and the Halloween level is in BETA so you can play it today!
The Halloween boss fight is coming soon…
So stay tuned!!
This is a self-contained HTML-based game. This means that when you download the game, it will download a single file that will open in your web browser (Edge/Chrome/Firefox/Opera/Safari/etc) where you can then play it!
The game is available for FREE on itch.io, where it will play directly on-site but we have included it here for anyone who wishes to contribute to the games development, including future development.
Recent updates include touch support for mobile device players, rumble support for controller players, the Halloween DLC BETA update (which now includes placeholder cinematic), level improvements, updated walk-cycles, blaster animations and newly designed powerup crates in level 3, sprite scaling, difficulty adjustments, etc.
